Little Rose Wind Farm

Chugwater, Wyoming

About Us

Located in the heart of Wyoming's Wind belt, the Little Rose Wind Farm site consists primarily of two parallel ridges standing 100-150 feet above the surrounding terrain. The ridges run from the south-west to the north-east roughly perpendicular to the prevailing north-west winds. The site is located in Zone 6 and Zone 7 according to the Wind resource map distributed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratories in Boulder Colorado. This zone is classified as outstanding and superb. Wind power ranges from 600 to more than 800 Watts per square meter.

Easy access to I-25, less than 1 mile as the crow flies from the ranch corner, and directly in the path of the new proposed Trans-wind Power Transmission Project, scheduled for completion in 2008, makes this an ideal site.

The Little Rose Wind Farm has been approved for up to 50 megawatts of power generation.
